Direct Debit Terms & Conditions UK Monthly Payments System

Terms and Conditions

By accepting these terms and conditions you agree the following.

  1. Acceptance into this monthly payment system is entirely at the discretion of Rock Choir Ltd.
  2. The system is a direct debit system operated through GoCardless Ltd as the intermediary.
  3. To use the system, you must have a bank account with a UK bank which operates a direct debit system.
  4. The normal payment will be £30.00 a month continuously throughout the year including during months when rehearsals are not running. The cost across the year is £360 for 3 terms split into 12 monthly payments.
  5. Your membership and therefore your direct debit will automatically renew and continue each month until cancelled by either you or Rock Choir.
  6. Your liability to pay the monthly fee continues until your membership agreement is ended in accordance with the Membership Terms and Conditions.
  7. Once you have completed the online direct debit form and registered your bank account details, your account will be debited within 10 days. On first registration, this may take up to 10 business days to appear on your Rock Choir account. Your first payment will be £30.00 or an amount pro-rated to when in the term and month you join Rock Choir or in line with the number of sessions you attended before completing the registration process.
  8. On the same day each month as you have registered, a further payment of £30.00 will be debited from your Bank account. This may take up to 3 business days to appear on your Rock Choir account.
  9. Following your first direct debit payment you may change the date of your monthly payment by contacting the Rock Choir office. This may be up to the 28th of the month.
  10. You will receive an email notification from GoCardless in advance of each payment. You are responsible for ensuring that sufficient funds are available to meet the payment.
  11. All payments made will be offset against the term fees (£120 normally).
  12. Rock Choir reserves the right to take additional or increased payments as necessary to meet the following schedule:
    1. Payment for Autumn term - completed with December payment
    2. Payment for Spring term - completed with April payment
    3. Payment for Summer term - completed with August payment
    4. Where an additional or increased payment is required, you will receive an email notification of the payment at least 5 days prior to the amount being taken from your Bank. You are responsible for ensuring funds are available to meet this payment or to contact the Rock Choir office if you do not agree the amount is owed.
  13. If your bank account details change you must amend your details by logging into the members area and editing your direct debit or by contacting GoCardless directly before your next payment is due.
  14. If for any reason your monthly payment is not authorised by your bank then you will receive an automated email informing you. On receipt of this email you should immediately contact your bank to discuss the failed payment. Rock Choir will attempt to claim the direct debit a second time within 5 days. If the second attempt fails then your Direct Debit mandate may be suspended and Rock Choir will contact you directly.
  15. In the event that you decide to leave Rock Choir, you should inform us by email (office@rockchoir.com) or letter to Rock Choir, Unit 7 Hurlands Business Centre, Hurlands Close, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 9JE.
